Between the serious subject matter of our TEDxtalks and TEDtalk Videos we presented a group of exceptional performers who entertained us and left us wanting more. Including Museum Director Tom Finkelpearl who took the time to give us all a tour of the Queens Museum of Art.  We must say a HUGE thank you to all the performers who made this event quite a lot of fun!

Over the next few weeks we will release videos of each performance on this website, so please check back regularly.

Comedian Dan Nainan, who really had us in stitches with his brand of very funny clean comedy. Enjoy. http://www.danielnainan.com/

Taij Kumarie Moteelal delivered two spoken word pieces titled, Indo-Caribbean identity, migration and resilience, both full of passion and emotion that left us all feeling especially connected.  http://www.taijkumarie.com/index.html

Maria Torres curated and oversaw choreography for four performances, each of which had us captivated. At one point the Audience was invited to participate and thats when the partying started. Maria Torres is the Artistic Director at http://ariasdancenyc.net/

Part of the Maria Torres Emerging Artist Project, Tareake Ramos, 15, wrote and produced a piece titled "Take a stand against diabetes", that combined spoken word and Modern dance. Alexandra Rodriguez, Selina Hack and Courtney Conigatti accompanied him.

Talia Castro-Pozo and Lee Bradley thrilled us with a fast paced couples ballroom dance that had us all cheering for more.

Alycia Perrin, choreographed a Latin Jazz piece that she performed with Milagros Simon and Monique LaFlore.

Milteri Tucker leads the Bombazo Dance Company that specializes in Puerto Rican Folklore. Dancers on-stage were Dharma A. Padron, Miryam Gadri, Fabian Zarta, Milteri Tucker, and they were accompanied by Drummers William Tucker and Oreste Shivone. During the performance they got the audience involved and invited some on-stage. What a thrill it was to be part of this!

Metal Sculptor Zac Shavrick created a one-of-a-kind sculpture for TEDxFlushingMeadows titled, "RE: THINKER", which was on-stage during the day's proceedings. See it at FACEBOOK.COM/TEDxFlushingMeadows

Thank You, once again. It was our honor to experience your art.
